Greetings from Andy (Warhol): Christmas at Tiffany’s
A fine estate-condition first edition of Greetings from Andy (Warhol): Christmas at Tiffany’s, published by Harry N. Abrams in 2004 and authored by longtime Tiffany & Co. design director John Loring. The volume celebrates Andy Warhol’s early commercial work for Tiffany & Co., reproducing the imaginative holiday illustrations he created for the iconic jeweler’s Christmas cards during the years before his rise as one of the defining figures of Pop Art.
Beautifully illustrated throughout, the book presents Warhol’s whimsical holiday imagery in both color and black and white, including ornaments, cherubs, animals, Christmas motifs, and other playful designs, accompanied by quotations and commentary relating to Warhol and the holiday season. The hardcover volume retains its distinctive illustrated dust jacket and original die-cut slipcase, whose circular openings reveal the colorful ornament designs beneath.
This estate example is exceptionally well preserved and presents in Fine condition, with clean, bright pages, vivid illustrations, and an attractive slipcase. A particularly appealing collectible combining the work of Andy Warhol and Tiffany & Co., and an elegant addition to a collection of modern art, design, fashion, or illustrated books.
